Participating in this activity and using keys at Xur’s Treasure Hoard will give you a chance to earn the Half-Truths for yourself. So all in all this is a very easy weapon to get a hold of.

The Half-Truths is a slow sword that has a heavy uppercut attack thanks to its Adaptive Frame. So you want perks that will maximize the amount of damage it can do. This sword is probably best suited to PvE activities, but it can still perform very well in PvP with the right setup. Here are the best perks to look out for when using the Half-Truths in Destiny 2.

Best general perks:

• Honed Edge (+2 Impact) or Jagged Edge (-20 Magazine, -4 Ammo Capacity, +4 Impact)
• Swordmaster’s Guard (+10 Charge Rate, +10 Guard Resistance, +10 Stability, +10 Charge Time, +40 Guard Endurance), or Burst Guard (+80 Guard, +80 Stability)
• Duelist’s Trance or Tireless Blade
• Eager Edge or Assassin’s Blade

My personal choice:

The Half-Truths works best when it can deal a lot of damage. So Honed Edge works perfectly for me thanks to the +4 to Impact. The lower magazine matters less when you deal more damage so that doesn’t affect things too much. Then I love Burst Guard for the high defense it offers, though I don’t factor that in too much with the overall roll. Tireless Blade is brilliant since it refunds ammo for every powered sword kill. And Assassin’s Blade boosts your movement speed and damage with every kill, which just makes this sword more deadly than it already is. With that assortment of perks, your Half-Truths should be ready to take down some nasty foes in Destiny 2 easily.
