Dirt 3’s ‘party mode’ detailed

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Included as part of Dirt 3’s multiplayer will be a ‘party mode,’ featuring three ways to have knockabout fun in your off-road car.
The first flavour of silliness is Outbreak, in which one car develops a deathly green pallor and has to chase after the rest, bumping into them to spread the infection. Last car standing (well, driving) is the winner. The winner of a world full of infected cars.

If that doesn’t tickle you, how about Invasion? Here, the land has been overrun by cardboard cutouts of robots. Your driving duty is to smash into them, while avoiding the cardboard skyscrapers.
Finally, there’s Transporter in which you don’t play Jason Statham but you do play capture the flag.
Look, I know this all sounds like a very late April Fools joke, but trust me, ok?
Dirt 3 is due for a 24 May release, on PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
