Cyberpunk 2077: How to get Optical Camo

Stealth Camoflague?

Optical Camo is one of the best perks to get in Cyberpunk 2077. Even if you aren’t strictly playing the game as a stealthy character, turning invisible is still extremely useful. If you’re in a sticky situation and want to break free from an enemy’s line of sight it’s an invaluable tool. And if you’re playing a Gig that rewards stealthy play, having Optical Camo is the best way to get past unseen. Plus there are now a few perks that use Optical Camo in interesting ways. So, here’s how you can get Optical Camo in Cyberpunk 2077 for yourself.

Cyberpunk 2077: How to get Optical Camo

Like almost all of the cool abilities in Cyberpunk 2077, you need to visit a Ripperdoc to get Optical Camo. You’ll find this in the Integumentary System section of the Ripperdoc menu. Optical Camo should be available at most if not all Ripperdocs in Night City. And as your Street Cred increases, Ripperdocs will start to sell higher tiers of Cyberware. So, at the start of the game Optical Camo isn’t going to be as busted as it will be later on.

Tier 2 Optical Camo provides you with -30% visibility to all enemies for four seconds. That’s not a lot of time to slip past enemies unseen and you aren’t even completely invisible. In comparison, the Tier 5 version of Optical Camo is brilliant. It provides you with -90% visibility to all enemies for seven seconds. And that’s a lot more generous in nearly every way. Granted, this still isn’t an ability that’ll let you sneak past an entire area in one fell swoop. But it’s still extremely useful in the right situation. Plus, with the updated perk system, some skills actually utilize Optical Camo now. Like Creeping Death, which buffs your health, stamina, and movement speed when Optical Camo is active.

Like most things in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, Optical Camo and its perks have had some major work done. And it all seems like it’s been for the best to make the game far better than it was. So be sure to poke around and start experimenting with some fun builds.
