Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are games that you can find many different Pokémon in, and find them all across the open-world of Paldea. Searching for particular Pokémon can be a little tricky in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but that doesn’t mean you have no idea where to find things. But sometimes the game will simply not have the Pokémon you’re looking for due to version exclusives, the bane of a Pokémon fan’s life. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are no different in this regard too, with a few different version exclusives for you to find in the two games, and The Teal Mask DLC is no different, introducing a couple new version exclusives like Gligar. Here’s our guide on how to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC.
How to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC
Gligar is a Pokémon that is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet. Meaning that if you have Violet, you’ll need to either hop in co-op with a friend to get it or trade around and get one that way. But if you have Pokémon Scarlet, you can get yourself a Gligar and evolve it into a Gliscor. To evolve your Gligar into a Gliscor, you’re going to need a Razor Fang, and these are pretty hard to come by. Don’t worry though, there’s one pretty easy way of getting one, and that is through Pokédex completion.
When you have 110 Pokémon caught in the Kitakami dex, you’ll receive a Razor Fang for free. This seems like a lot of Pokémon to catch, but it took me about 20 minutes of grinding and finding Pokémon that I didn’t have in my dex already before I got it, and I don’t usually catch random Pokémon around routes and such, so it shouldn’t take that long in general. Some Pokémon overlap between the two Pokédex, meaning you might have a higher amount than you think in there already. So it should be pretty easy to get the Razor Fang you need to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

After you have the Razor Fang, it’s pretty simple to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You’re going to need to give the Razor Fang to Gligar, and level it up while the time in-game is night time.
