How to get Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are many weird and wonderful weapons to collect in Baldur’s Gate 3, each of them changing the way you and your party work together. Finding and collecting them all is a wild task to undertake on your first playthrough, but some are definitely worth grabbing. The Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3 is one that can be picked up quite early and adds a nice little extra lightning damage with every hit. You simply need access to the Underdark to be able to find the Light of Creation.

How to get Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3

To the southwest of the Underdark, you will find the Arcane Tower. However, this tower is guarded by turrets that must first be circumnavigated. We have a full guide on how to reach the end of the Arcane Tower here, but I will sum up the basics to get your hands on the Light of Creation.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Turrets

Once you reach the entrance of the Arcane Tower, detach one of your party members from the group. Ensure they have invisibility before you make your way towards the Turrets. Apply invisibility and sneak past them towards the mushrooms on the far side of the turrets. You can use these to jump down to the lower floor.

Activate the Elevator

Once you have snuck past the turrets and made your way down to the next level, if you don’t have Sussur Blossom on your character already, make your way around the back of the tower and grab some from the small tree there. Turn around, and enter the back door of the tower to continue on your path to the Baldur’s Gate 3 Light of Creation.

Once inside, you will notice a generator. Use your Sussur Blossoms to activate it. This will both deactivate the turrets and allow you to access any floor of the tower. Head back to your party and regroup. If you need a rest, take one. You will be expected to engage in a fight for the Light of Creation.

Take the Light of Creation from Bernard

Take your party to the top floor of the Arcane Tower. Here you will meet Bernard. He will engage in conversation that will most likely end in confrontation. If, by some chance, it doesn’t, give him a smack anyway. Once you have beaten him, you can loot his body to acquire the Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Bernard is a big threat to your team. We suggest going to higher ground to make the most of the height advantage. Bernard has an attack that creates an area of damage around him, so keep your distance as much as possible.
