How to Boost Kick in Armored Core 6

Learning a new trick.

Armored Core 6 has a lot of systems at play for you to interact with. That can simply be the combat system, which is a whole lot in itself. Or it can also be the customization side of the game, where I personally spent a long time in my playthrough finding the right mech for me.

There’s a lot going on in Armored Core 6, and OS Tuning upgrades is a pretty big part of that. These upgrades can upgrade many things from giving you new abilities and things like Expansions to your AC, all the way to just increasing damage and defensive capabilities like improving the efficiency of Repair Kits. One of these upgrades is the Boost Kick, which adds a kick to your arsenal of offensive options. Here’s our guide on how to Boost Kick in Armored Core 6.

How to Boost Kick in Armored Core 6

Boost Kick in Armored Core 6 is a pretty simple thing to do, but to be able to do it you need to get the OS Tuning upgrade first. Luckily for us the Boost Kick OS Tuning upgrade is actually the very first one on the menu, and has an extremely low cost for you to grab. You’ll need to grab this upgrade to be able to Boost Kick, so go ahead and do that.

After you have the Boost Kick OS Tuning upgrade, you’ll now need to know how to do the Boost Kick. To be able to Boost Kick, you’ll have to be using Assault Boost, which is clicking the left stick in on controller by default, and while during Assault Boost, you’ll need to press the left stick in again. Now we’re using the controller default control scheme as a reference here, but you can actually check yourself which button it is to press by heading back to the OS Tuning upgrade menu and in the description it will tell you which button it is to press to use the Boost Kick in Armored Core 6. For other buttons, you can consult the Control Settings tab in the options menu.

Armored Core 6 is available for purchase on Steam.
