Honkai Star Rail released its latest major content update on August 29, introducing the newest playable character Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, while also introducing a number of quality-of-life updates, such as an increased Trailblaze Power cap and changes to the Simulated Universe. However, players have noticed a lack of new concrete features in this new update, and have taken to social media to criticize the latest update and its lack of content.
Headlining features of Version 1.3 included Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s release as well as a new permanent area, Aurum Alley. Additionally, this update introduced the conclusion of the Xianzhou Luofu story arc, ending the major story arc of the newest planet. Unfortunately, players have expressed dissatisfaction over the conclusion of the story, with some criticizing how players waited “[six] weeks for a quest that lasted less than an hour.” Others have called the story “a mess,” and that the game “dropped the ball.”
Players are upset over the lack of content in Honkai Star Rail
Version 1.3 still has some more content to release in the future, including a couple of major events, such as the Swarm Disaster Simulated Universe event as well as Aurum Alley’s Hustle and Bustle event. HoYoverse has made some changes to the event schedule as well, including moving up the Simulated Universe event as well as unlocking all stages of the Aurum Alley event starting on the first day, rather than releasing the event in batches.
Some players speculate the changes to the event schedule to accommodate the perceived lack of content in this update, one user joking that even “[HoYoverse] realized that there’s literally nothing to do in the game right now.” Fortunately, aside from the events, there is still a new permanent area to explore as well as two new characters to release later next month, Fu Xuan and Lynx. Honkai Star Rail Version 1.3 is available now.
