How to find and rescue Mol in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

There are many characters you meet throughout Baldur’s Gate 3 that find you again along your journey. Mol is one of those reoccurring characters, who is a tiefling child. Durning Act Two on the attack at Last Night Inn, a winged creature kidnaps Mol. It’ll take awhile from this point to find her, but there is still a way. We’ll explain how you can find and rescue Mol in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Where to rescue Mol

Surprisingly, Mol is nowhere to be seen in Moonrise Towers. I thought at first I’d missed her, but in reality, she’s all the way in Baldur’s Gate. How you find and rescue Mol in Baldur’s Gate 3 is through the Guildhall entrance in the Lower City.

I never expected Mol to be there when I found the secret entrance to the Guildhall. Once you make it to the Lower City, head to this spot on your map, northeast of the Heapside Strand waypoint. There, you should come face-to-face with the half-orc Tusgront. He’s blocking the alleyway ahead, which is where you need to go.

Walking towards him will enact a conversation, where you need to attempt a Deception check to pretend you’re part of the guild. If you fail, like I did, you’ll end up having to battle them. But if you actually manage to deceive Tusgront—or simply take Jaheira with you since the guild knows her—he’ll allow you safe passage inside. A secret door opens, and you can head inside.

As a side note, if you had to kill them like I did, you can still open the door. There’s a button beside the closed entrance that requires an item. Your character may have made a successful Perception check to notice Tusgront’s Guild Ring. After killing Tusgront, take his Guild Ring, and insert it into the button. That’ll open the Guildhall entrance for you.

Once inside, just head to the right, and you should find a group of children. One of them is Mol, who is far from captured. She’s actually faring pretty well working for the guild, so there’s no need to rescue her. But at least you’ve found her, and you don’t have to worry about her safety anymore!
