I love a game with a rich and varied arsenal of weapons. Remnant 2 hits that mark perfectly. Status effects, fun charge attacks, and inventive mods make every weapon its own, leaving huge room for interpretation. Obviously, there are a few weapons that sit on the top of the pile as the best, such as the Bonesaw starting weapon for the medic, but others take a little more work. The Spectral Blade in Remnant 2 can only be acquired late-game, but it makes your inevitable future playthroughs much more fun.
Where to find the Spectral Blade Remnant 2
Due to the nature of Remnant 2, there is always a chance that the world roll you have will not actually reward the Spectral Blade. To be able to get your hands on this weapon, you must load into N’Erud with the Seekers Rest starting point. Anything other than this will set you on the wrong path. Once you have rolled adventure mode and started here, you can continue on.
Reach the endgame and Defeat Sha’Hala
To get to this point, you will have to collect three keys from the various dungeons around the map. They can appear in any of the five, so you’re going to have to work your way through until you have them all.
Once you have the three keys, you can place them in the Threshold of the Unknown. This is located at the top of the Sentinals Keep. Doing so will trigger the boss battle in the area. It is very important to note that you must NOT use the override key collected earlier in the game. This entails beginning the fight by using the terminal on the left. The terminal on the right will not reward you with the resource necessary for the Spectral Blade in Remnant 2.
Killing Sha’Hala will award you with the Eidolon Shard. This is what you need for the Spectral Blade.
Bring the Eidolon Shard to McCabe
Once you have defeated the boss and collected the resource, you can head back to Ward 13. Here, you can craft the Spectral Blade in Remnant 2 with McCabe.
Spectral Blade stats
This Melee weapon is a superheated blade that can slice through anything like butter. It definitely isn’t a lightsaber, I promise. It comes with a mod that makes your neutral backdash charge create a whirlwind of slashes that strike all enemies within 8m for 75 damage.
As a side note, it took me ages to learn how to neutral backdash charge in Remnant 2. This is done by tapping dodge without a direction and then immediately holding down the melee attack for a charged hit.
