Where to find Vampire Squid in Dave the Diver

They don't drain your blood, but they do hurt.

Vampire squids are one of the most unique species of squids. Found deep in the abyss of oceans, they have bio-luminescent organs on the tips of their tentacles that give off light. It’s no wonder Dave the Diver chose to include them in the game as a mid game fish. Here’s where to find Vampire Squid in Dave the Diver.

Vampire squids are found later into the Glacial Passage. If you’ve completed the entirety of the Glacial Passage puzzle, you can easily swim down into the mirror room to find them. Now that you know where to find Vampire Squid in Dave the Diver, be wary. Vampire squids aren’t harmless. They shoot off clouds of purple ink that will take a small portion of your oxygen. In addition to this, they will take multiple rounds of the Harpoon even at mid tier upgrades. Unless you can spare the oxygen, it’s better to hunt them with a ranged weapon.

Vampire squids are a two star, rank eight fish. Each one caught is six kilograms, which adds up quickly unless you’ve sufficiently upgraded your cargo load. A single one yields three sushi servings, meaning you can instantly upgrade them to level two at Bancho Sushi. Level two puts vampire squid sushi at 149 gold, 68 for best taste, and one serving each. Especially compared to the earlier fish in the game, that’s not a bad trade off of effort for output in the restaurant.
