Remnant 2 is all about getting the most powerful gear you can and blasting holes in enemies. The problem is that as the areas are all procedurally generated, you’re never guaranteed their presence on any playthrough. However, you can always reroll a map by loading out of it and returning, either in the campaign or in the story modes. In the case of the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle in Remnant 2, you may have to reload the area a few times.
How to unlock the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle in Remnant 2
There are a few things you need to have collected and completed in Remnant 2 before you’re able to unlock the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle. The main one is being in possession of the Navigators Helm, which can be acquired in N’Erud. It is particularly well hidden and takes some know-how to find it, so check the guide. Secondly, you need to be able to roam freely around N’Erud, as the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle is located in Titans Reach on this map.
Look for a grounded spaceship in N’Erud and head towards it. Once you reach the destination, you will notice a huge hole in the ground. Equip your Helm and make your way into this chasm in the ground. Make sure you are wearing the Navigators Helm, as you will be scanned by the ship before being granted access.
Inside the room, you will find the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle in Remnant 2.
What does the Plasma Cutter do?
The weapon is well worth the two steps necessary to unlock it. At its most basic level, before being upgraded, the gun fires a concentrated beam of energy. This beam does 400DPS to anything it hits, making it an absolute must-have for boss fights.
Upgrading the Plasma Cutter Beam Rifle requires Lumenite Crystals, which are few and far between. You’ll want to hang on to any you find in rather than sell them for Scrap.
