The FTAC Siege machine pistol is quite capable of deleting opponents up close. In their infinite wisdom, Infinity Ward decided one FTAC Siege wasn’t enough, so now we can use it Akimbo style! Akimbo dramatically alters our playstyle and how we set up the weapon, so let me show you the Best FTAC Siege Akimbo build for MW2 and Warzone 2.
Best FTAC Siege Akimbo build for MW2 and Warzone 2
Previously, we built the FTAC Siege for stability, and the result was a controllable bullet hose that could kill multiple enemies with its enormous magazine size. The gun is still powerful, and our recent build guide still holds up.
For the Akimbo style, we need a different approach as Hipfire Accuracy becomes a critical stat. These are the attachments I recommend:
Laser: 1MW Pistol Laser
Barrel: CMRN-50
Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
Magazine: 72 Round Drum
Rear Grip: Akimbo
We’re after as much Damage Range and Hipfire Accuracy as possible, but let me explain my choices here. The 1MW Pistol Laser gives us the best Hipfire Buffs and a slight increase to ‘Sprint to Fire Speed.’ The only downside is the Laser is visible, but as this weapon excels in a mobile playstyle, it’s not an issue.
The CMRN-50 is the only barrel that won’t negatively affect our Damage Range or Hipfire Accuracy. It gives us valuable Recoil Control and Bullet Velocity at the expense of stats we don’t care about, like ADS Speed.
You’ve got a couple of choices for Muzzle. I like the XTEN RR-40 for the Sound Suppression and extra Damage Range. The Singuard MKV offers a similar stat profile which you can also try. Both Muzzles only have negative stats that don’t affect Akimbo weapons. Finally, for Magazine choice, the 72 Round Drum is mandatory. I’ve experimented with the 50 Round Drum for the slightly better handling, but it’s such a minor difference you’re better off with the extra bullets.
What’s better, standard or Akimbo?
It’s a personal preference. For sheer stopping power, Akimbo FTAC Sieges are downright scary up close. Few weapons in the game can mag dump 140 rounds like these machine pistols can, and they blur the line between pistols and SMGs. Their biggest issue is how uncontrollable they are in the Akimbo style. We cannot equip an Underbarrel or Stock to Akimbo weapons, and they have a ferocious vertical kick. The severe damage falloff at range means you’ll usually prefer accuracy to secure mid-range kills.
Because of this, I prefer the single FTAC Siege. With its stability attachments, I can engage targets at mid-range comfortably. I can also outgun multiple opponents as the 72-Round Mags feel like they never end. I have an aggressive playstyle, but if you can make regular Akimbo pistols work for you, The Dual FTAC Sieges will serve you well.
