The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of side content for you to discover in the open world of Hyrule. One of these many things is Side Adventures, which you can activate by talking to many different NPC characters in the world. A New Signature Food is one of these Side Adventures. You can get this side quest in Hateno Village and complete it as part of the mayoral election questline. Here’s our guide on how to complete A New Signature Food in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to complete A New Signature Food in Tears of the Kingdom

When you get this quest from Reede, the first objective actually has nothing to do with this quest at all. Go to Lake Sumac, which is located in Hateno Village, and talk to Koyin, who’s standing on the wooden platform at the edge of the lake. You can see a precise location of where you need to go below.

Here’s where you can find the Koyin Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom. You can also find the acorns I mention later in the guide just to the right side of this lake. Screenshot by PC Invasion

After talking to her, this will activate another Side Adventure, which is named A Letter to Koyin. All you need to do for this Side Adventure is just take the bottle that’s in the water out with Ultrahand, and place it next to Koyin, then talk to her. She’ll take you inside and give you a piece of Hateno Cheese, which is what we need to complete A New Signature Food.

If you have already completed this Side Adventure, you can get more Hateno Cheese by buying it from this very location, or trading fresh milk for it. You can also get some free milk by obtaining three acorns and handing it to Dantz who works outside the cheese shop where you’re completing A Letter to Koyin.

After you do this, head back to Reede. Go back to Reede, and talk to him, where you will hand him the Hateno Cheese, and you will be able to finally complete A New Signature Food in Tears of the Kingdom.
