If you don’t know where to get this quest, you get it from the school in Hateno Village, which is located on the north side of the village. Once you go there during school hours, there will be a lesson about the Calamity happening, and the pupils would like to see proof that the Calamity even happened in the first place, which leaves Symin to ask you to go and grab some photographic evidence that it was a real event.

Luckily, such evidence is pretty easy to find if you have played Breath of the Wild and remember some of the cutscenes in that game. You’ll want to head to Kakariko Village, and go into the house that Paya now resides, and Impa used to reside in Breath of the Wild, which is the large house up the flight of stairs at the bottom of Kakariko Village. Once you’re inside this house, you might remember a painting that was shown to you in a cutscene during Breath of the Wild, this is the painting we need to grab a photo of to complete the Teach Me a Lesson 1 Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

The painting in question is something you can find upstairs in this house, so walk up the stairs, and then grab your camera by using the L button and selecting it. Grab a photo, then save it to your album. After this, return to the school in Hateno Village and talk to Symin. You will be able to give him the photo to show the class and then he’ll discuss the Calamity with the students, completing the Teach Me a Lesson 1 Side Quest.
