While Vampire Survivors’ early maps were incredibly simple, ranging from open voids with a scattering of trees to open voids arranged into grid-like hallways, the DLC packs that have come since have really taken things up a notch. Both Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of the Foscari have brought with them intricate new maps, with distinct zones, obstacles, and enemies. They make exploring during a run much more meaningful than before, but they can also lead to a lot of navigational confusion, especially since the in-game map only shows your relative position and not any specific details. Or at least, it used to. As of patch 1.4.2, you can now find Relics that allow you to view fully detailed maps of both Mt. Moonspell and Lake Foscari. If you want to know how to find the Lake Foscari Map in Vampire Survivors, then read on to find out.
How to locate the Lake Foscari Map in Vampire Survivors
Step 1: Head to Lake Foscari
Surprising no one, the Lake Foscari Map Relic can be found within Lake Foscari itself. Provided you have the Tides of the Foscari DLC installed, you’ll be able to access this map directly from the stage select screen. If you’re playing for the first time since patch 1.4.2, then you’ll notice an orange exclamation mark next to the map, as well as a picture of the Lake Foscari Map Relic in the top-left. Dive in with your favorite character to begin the Map hunt.
Step 2: Track down the Map
As with most of the Relics in Vampire Survivors, the Lake Foscari Map will be pointed out to you in two ways: by a large green arrow during gameplay, and by an icon on the in-game map, which you can view by pressing start. Simply following the arrow will get you to the Map eventually, though it’s worth noting that it’s in the top-right section of Lake Foscari, which demands a detour into the top-left and round in order to reach. Make your way round, checking the map frequently to orient yourself, and be sure to pick up at least 20 levels while you’re at it.
Step 3: Enter the secret forest and grab the Map
Once you reach the Map’s location, according to your own map and the green arrow, you may be confused to find nothing but a large forest before you, and no Map of any kind. This is because the Lake Foscari Map is hidden, quite sneakily, in a secret forest area, which requires you to walk through a seemingly solid section of forest in order to access it. Check out the images above to see where the exact entry point lies.
Once inside, you’ll immediately see the Map, surrounded by a circle of slow-moving mushroom enemies, who function similarly to the enemies that guard the coffins you’ll have encountered elsewhere in the game. They’re not nearly as hard to defeat, however, and doing so isn’t a requirement to collect the Map: you can just weave your way through their lines and pick it up.
Once you’ve collected it, the Lake Foscari Map will let you see a detailed view of Lake Foscari whenever you open the map there. This is extremely handy for navigating the maze-like sections of the map to grab important passive items, and will make your future runs there go much more smoothly if used well.
And that’s that! A full guide on how to find the Lake Foscari Map in Vampire Survivors. It’s an encouraging sign of growth for the game that its new maps are complex enough to warrant such an item in the first place, and we look forward to hunting down more maps as more DLC packs are released in the future.
