Tears of the Kingdom – how to clear the Gerudo Canyon Stable well

When you visit Gerudo Canyon Stable, you’ll find that nearly everyone has disappeared. The owner has boxed himself in behind the counter. Aside from a possible traveler, the other main character you’ll meet in the area is Penn. He tells you that the well has been sealed by order of Princess Zelda. He’s curious about what might lie at the bottom. Talking to him initiates a side quest, The Blocked Well.

To unblock the well and complete the associated side quest, The Blocked Well, descend through the opening and kill the enemies you find. When you descend, you’ll hit a dead end almost immediately. However, you can remove the weak rocks using your favorite method (I fired an Arrow fused with a Bomb Flower). Doing so reveals a new chamber filled with enemies.

The enemies in this area are extremely aggressive. As you enter, you may be rushed by a few varieties of Lizalfos. If you approach carefully, you can use your bow to take out a few of them with headshots before they notice you.

On the stone column beyond where the lizards roam, a Like Like enemy waits. Ignore it for now and start up the ledge beyond it. As you ascend toward a high chamber, you’ll meet an Electric Lizalfos. Its attacks can be lethal. Physical contact quickly burns through your hearts and may cause you to drop equipped metal gear. Hit from a distance as possible, ideally with headshots using your bow. If you have armor that resists electricity, definitely wear it.

After you defeat the final Lizalfos, tend to the Like Like. When you clear out the last enemy in the area, Penn calls you back to the surface. He rewards you based on how many stable-related stories you have investigated as part of the Potential Princess Sightings! side quest. That concludes The Blocked Well.
