How to get to Lake Saria in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Play Saria's Song for maximum effect.

Lake Saria is a tricky spot to reach in Tears of the Kingdom. It’s located in the southwest portion of Korok Forest, and though it may seem simple to get there at first, it’s actually a bit more complex. So, here’s a quick guide for reaching Lake Saria in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to get to Lake Saria in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

If you try to get to Lake Saria via the Lost Woods to the south, you’ll likely end up in a loop without making much progress. It is the Lost Woods, after all, and we all know how confusing it can be. This is undoubtedly annoying since we’re so close to our location, but don’t worry. The solution to this is rather simple, and it first involves getting to the sky.

The quickest way to reach the sky from the Korok Forest is by using the Thyplo Ruins Skyview Tower to the north of the Great Plateau. Once you’re in the sky, look for the patch of fog with a glowing green light. This is Ninjis Shrine, and it’s where we need to go. If you’ve already unlocked this Shrine, just fast-travel to this point.

Once you get to Ninjis Shrine, the way to Lake Saria is much more obvious. Don’t just run off to Lake Saria immediately since this is still the Lost Woods, and you’ll be sent back for going the wrong way. Instead, look for a path of Silent Mushrooms. These glow blue, so they’re hard to miss if you look out for them. Simply follow these Silent Mushrooms along from tree to tree, and you’ll eventually reach Lake Saria. Head in the general direction of the lake, and you’ll find them.

If you find yourself lost in the Lost Woods, here’s a simple recap of how to get to Lake Saria in ToTK:

  • Travel to Typhlo Ruins Skytower.
  • Land at Ninjis Shrine, marked by a green beam.
  • Follow the blue mushrooms to Lake Saria.

Forest Dweller’s Bow location in ToTK

The only treasure in Lake Saria is the Forest Dweller’s Bow, located in the center of the lake. Continue following the blue mushrooms until you reach a small dock. Swim across the lake to a small patch of land with a rotting tree. Inside the crevice is a treasure chest containing the Forest Dweller’s Bow.

While the Forest Dweller’s Bow is pretty decent, the loot here isn’t as incredible as one would hope for a lake named after the Forest Sage herself. At least there are plenty of mushrooms to pick up along the way.
