In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you explore an expansive underground map known as the Depths. Lightroot can make your journey easier. This guide tells you where to find the Apapes Lightroot in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Apapes Lightroot
Lightroots are a tremendous resource in the Depths. They light up an area so you can explore it easily without burning through your supply of Brightbloom Seeds. Most of the Lightroots are easy to reach if you just drop through any available chasm you like and expand your search from there. However, there are exceptions.
To find the Apapes Lightroot, enter through a chasm in the Hyrule Forest Park area, north of Hyrule Cathedral. There is no other way to reach the island where the Lightroot waits, though you can light up much of the map around it.
To find the necessary chasm, head northeast from Lookout Landing. When you come to it, cross the Boneyard Bridge. On its north side, veer west and head along the rocky ledge to its southwestern edge. Drop over the side to reach the water, and look at the rock you just descended. You should spot an opening through which you can swim.
Swim through that opening to reach the Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm. It is a short chamber with the chasm plainly visible ahead of you. Drop through it to enter the Depths.
Once you arrive in the Depths, immediately open your paraglider. Look to your left as you descend. You’ll see the Apapes Lightroot in plain sight. Drift directly over to it and land on its pad. Then activate it.
In this portion of the Depths, you can find a few points of interest. There are some decent ore deposits, plus a Blue-White Frox you can conveniently access to battle.
