Tears of the Kingdom – how to complete the White Goats Gone Missing side quest near Tabantha Bridge Stable
When you check around Tabantha Bridge Stable, you’ll find an empty corral and a mournful shepherd named Chork. He reveals that his white goats have gone missing. Talk to Penn, who should also be standing around the stables. Your conversation with him kicks off a side quest, White Goats Gone Missing.
To bring back the white goats, follow the long trail of Hylian Pinecones. They are not spaced very far apart. That makes them easy to follow, especially close to the stables. If you have unlocked the Sensor+ ability, you can also snap a photo of them and it will help you slowly track them. However, I found that step unnecessary.
The pinecones lead across grassland. Follow the trail of little brown pinecones, keeping in mind that sometimes the greenery hides them. Proceed one pinecone at a time. If you find one pinecone and don’t see the next one fairly close, wait around for a second or so. You should see a glint of light somewhere ahead of you, indicating the location of the next pinecone.
Let the Hylian Pinecones lead you along the grass, across a road, through a shallow ravine, and to the base of a mushroom tree. The screenshot above shows its exact location. You find the goats converged near a bottle that contains the recipe left for the shepherd and his flock.
Search the area and Chork appears to thank you for taking care of his goats. Penn also appears and rewards you with rupees for chasing down the story. This concludes the side quest.
