What is the Diablo 4 level cap?

For the completionists out there.

Leveling a character in Diablo 4 is one of the main drives of the game. As you play through the campaign, each new encounter and mission completed will push you closer to the Diablo 4 level cap. Seasonal events and challenges also add more to your overall XP, moving you ever onward. Leveling up is the key to success in the gameDiablo 4. New armor, spells, weapons, and potions can only be used once a certain level is achieved, so getting as high as possible is paramount.

In the previous game, Diablo 3, the level cap sat at 60 or 70 with the expansion. It was possible to continue to improve your player’s stats via Paragon Levels even after this, though. Diablo 4‘s level cap sits significantly higher than this.

The new level cap to aim for sits at 100 currently. The new system of leveling encourages players to use paragon levels. These are used to power their character up but only to a certain point. Paragon levels are unlocked after level 50 and continue all the way up to level 100. Diablo 4‘s Paragon points aren’t earned after this stage in the game. This is in an effort to stop players from becoming incredibly overpowered.

The core game campaign takes around 35 hours, leaving the player at about level 45. I think that this is the perfect point to embark on the endless grind of endgame Diablo 4. It sets you up for the drive for the level cap. With five more levels to achieve before Paragon leveling, it encourages cleaning up all those little side quests you didn’t quite get around to.

However, as with every Diablo game, the core campaign is really just a warm-up for the end-game carnage that begins once it is complete. Really, this is where the serious leveling and collection of armor and weapons begins. All the post-campaign activities and seasonal quests will quickly have players hitting that Diablo 4 level cap.
