Genshin Impact: Best Kirara build – weapons & artifacts

Effective delivery practices

Kirara is a 4-star character introduced to Genshin Impact in Version 3.7 and is a weaker alternative to the stronger Baizhu, a 5-star character who can apply shields as well as heal. That being said, Kirara is still a strong defensive unit in her own right, and can suitably protect your team against damage sources in the toughest content out there. Kirara has a fun delivery-cat-person motif, able to transform into a cat in a box and scale walls, making her one of the more unique characters out there (especially for exploration.) Still, what we really care about are Kirara’s shields and Dendro application. To best amplify her strengths, we’ll need to make the best build for Kirara. Here’s our guide on Kirara’s best build in Genshin Impact.

The best build for Kirara in Genshin Impact starts with choosing her best weapon. Here are some of your best options:

Favonius Sword – This 4-star weapon is generally a solid option for any support Sword unit, as it increases the unit’s Energy Recharge and adds additional team utility by generating energy particles for the team. You will need to build a little bit of Crit Rate to reliably proc this weapon’s passive if you opt for this weapon, but this is an always-reliable choice for any support character.

Sapwood Blade – This 4-star craftable weapon is another great free-to-play option when you pair Kirara with Electro units. Whenever a Dendro reaction is created, a “Leaf of Consciousness” will drop which provides a 60 Elemental Mastery buff to whoever picks it up. This weapon also provides some Energy Recharge for Kirara as well. This is an option if you want to amplify the damage of your team by boosting the power of elemental reactions.

Key of Khaj-Nisut – This is a 5-star weapon that boosts the wearer’s Max HP by a significant amount, which will increase the shields that Kirara provides. This weapon is best suited for a character like Nilou who prefers HP to boost her damage, so this weapon isn’t necessarily recommended for Kirara. However, if you happen to have it on hand, you can really buff the shields Kirara has by equipping her with this weapon.

Kirara is a shielder, giving her some great choices for artifacts to build:

Tenacity of the Millelith – This set boosts Kirara’s HP% which can boost the shields she provides, while also increasing the ATK of allies by 20% and Shield Strength by 30%. These buffs have somewhat low uptime with Kirara, but can still be a useful offensive boost to your team.

Deepwood Memories – This set boosts Dendro DMG by 15% and also decreases the Dendro RES of enemies by 30%. Less important is the 2-piece effect. What you want this set for is the Dendro RES shred which will increase the damage to your other Dendro units. If you are running multiple Dendro units on one team, it’s recommended not to stack this set, as the Dendro RES shred will not stack.
