One aspect that I learned through hours of playtime and then confirmed with other TOTK players from PC Invasion: if you want Lynel to transform into different colors after each blood moon, it’s essential to defeat enough of the previous colored versions. This is similar to the Zelda Breath of the Wild (BOTW) process. If you don’t do this, you’ll only come across Red, Blue, or White Lynel in certain areas. Once you have taken down enough of them to start encountering Blue Lynel, use our location guides and tips to locate all seven and defeat them efficiently.

Facing a Blue Lynel may not be as challenging as confronting their Silver Lynel counterparts, but practicing the same strategy from the start is still wise. This will ensure that you are prepared to face them whenever they appear. Since Silver Lynel is among the most formidable enemies in TOTK, practice is essential! Begin by sneaking up on the Blue Lynel and mounting it. Then, keep attacking until you’re thrown off, and switch to a defensive approach to counter their aggressive behavior. I’ve had success defeating most Blue Lynel using the Hylian Shield. I’ve also used updrafts to avoid their attacks and take them down. To stun a Blue Lynel, aim for the head with an Arrow fused with a Keese Eyeball, giving you ample time to attack. Finally, be sure to use the Flurry Rush ability when necessary during the process.
