In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll spend a lot of time gliding from one high point to another as you seek out shrines and loot. There is an equipment set that makes this process easier, though you’ll have to find the pieces in various locations. Here is our guide on how to get Glide Tights in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom – how to get Glide Tights
The Glide Set is a dream for players who want tighter control as they drift about the beautiful skies of Hyrule. Considering how much time you are likely to spend without your feet on the ground, finding this equipment should be a priority.
To get the Glide Tights, complete a challenge event on Bravery Island. You’ll find the island in the air high above the Great Hyrule Forest. The easiest way to get there is to activate Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and use its pad to launch into the sky. While airborne, travel south to reach Bravery Island. Make stops along the way at the smaller islands or you’ll likely run out of stamina before you reach it, as I did. Your destination is easy to spot. It has an overhead series of large stone rings forming a vertical cylinder.
Once you arrive at Bravery Island, talk to the Construct near the pool of water. It presents you with a challenge, wherein you must dive through a series of green rings on the way to the ground. The first run is a test run, so there is a time limit. Get used to moving back and forth. Make sure to practice diving between rings, which is the tricky part.
When you clear the test run by landing in the pool at the bottom after passing through all rings, you cause Simosiwak Shrine to materialize on a nearby slope. Activate it so that you can fast travel to this area later if you wish.
Now it is time to attempt the trial for real. Talk to the Construct again. It offers you the chance to complete the course in 35 or fewer seconds. There is a fee of a Zonai Charge for every attempt. When you pay the fee, you will appear back on the high ledge to attempt the challenge.
Run forward and jump through the first ring, then dive a lot as you descend through the rings. Remember that they move in a clockwise or counter-clockwise circle. Pay attention to which way they move and dive quickly once you’re in position to pass through the next one while descending rapidly. You want to spend as much time diving as possible to get to the bottom within the time limit. Unfortunately, that also makes it easier to miss a ring. I had to try a couple of times myself, even with all my practice.
When you reach the bottom pool in 35 seconds or fewer, talk to the Construct to receive the Glide Tights.
