What Happened To The Divine Beasts Zelda Where Tears Of Kingdom Breath Wild After

What happened to the Divine Beasts in Tears of the Kingdom? – Answered

They're not exactly difficult to notice.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is sure to stir up memories for returning players that remember the various iconic sights and locations in Breath of the Wild. Something that feels amiss, however, is the lacking presence of the Divine Beasts which played a major role in the previous game. Considering that the Divine Beasts didn’t suffer any detrimental fate at the end of the previous Zelda game, many are wondering what happened to them in Tears of the Kingdom.

What happened to the Divine Beasts in Tears of the Kingdom?

The odd thing is that nobody really knows what happened to the Divine Beasts between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom despite how important the machines were. The plot takes on a different focus in Tears of the Kingdom and excludes any mention of the Divine Beasts during main events. It’s possible there is some lore tucked away in the game somewhere, but the Divine Beasts definitely do not make an appearance.

There are only fan theories floating around regarding what happened to the Divine Beasts. The most reasonable theory, although a broad conclusion, is that the Divine Beasts felt their purpose fulfilled and departed Hyrule. This still doesn’t explain why characters don’t even talk about them in the game. Tears of the Kingdom seems to take place only several years after Breath of the Wild, so the memory of the great machines should still be fresh on the minds of the Hyrule population. Perhaps there’s some magic involved to make everyone forget.
