How to get the sound of a drum for the Great Fairy in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
As I mentioned above, you must complete many requirements before finishing the Serenade to Cotera side quest. However, I will start at the beginning of the quest and discuss what parts depend on you completing other objectives so you know exactly what you need to do.
Where to find the Great Fairy Cotera in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Great Fairy Cotera is near the Dueling Peaks Stable, 1755, -1953, 0010. However, before you can find the sound of a drum side for the Serenade to Cotera quest, you must complete the Great Fairy quest with Tera at the Woodland Stable. You can proceed with the Serenade to Cotera quest if you have completed this quest.

But first, speak with the musicians on the stage at the stables. They will tell you that Cotera likes to hear the drumming, but Beetz is not with them at the moment… cause, of course, why wouldn’t he be?

The exact coordinates of Beetz, the drummer you need to locate, are 2166, -1387, 0108—these coordinates we’ll take you to the north of Kakariko Bridge near a narrow passage as marked above. First, however, to convince Beetz to drum for the Great Fairy, you must complete the side quest called Honey, Bee Mine, where he wants you to get him three Combs of Courser Bee Honey.
Why is Beetz Not Appearing in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
If Beetz doesn’t appear in the location above, you must complete a few more objectives to get him to appear.
- Become a Journalist by speaking with Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette, which is northwest of Rito Village

You can find Courser Bee Honey north of Kakariko Village and south of East Hill Chasm at coordinates 2049, -0854, 0162. But, again, using the Ultrahand ability to pull beehives from the trees would be best.

Be ready, though, as a swarm of bees will attack you once done. Return the three Combs of Courser Bee Honey to Beetz, and he will return to the stable with his fellow musicians.
How to complete the Serenade to Cotera quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

You are almost done finding the sound of a drum for the Great Fairy Cotera, but not yet. So, after completing the above objectives, you must return to the Dueling Peaks Stable. Once there, talk to the musicians again, and they will start heading toward Cortera’s location. However, the bridge is out, so you must build a boat using the musician’s wagon. You will need to find the following resources:
- 1 x Control Panel
- 2 x Fans
- 1 x Plank

Use these materials to build a boat similar to the one pictured above. You can do so by following these steps:
- Fuse the Wagon and Plank
- Fuse the Control Panel to the front side of the Plank
- Fuse both Fans to the end of the Plank
After constructing a boat, the musicians will load up, and you can sail them to the Great Fairy Cotera’s location. When you get close, you will trigger a cutscene and complete the whole side quest.
