Tears of the Kingdom – how to activate Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

The Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower is located along the edge of the Akkala Highlands in eastern Hyrule. You will likely approach it along a grassy slope that leads through a stone archway. A Black Moblin enemy waits beyond that archway. These enemies are tough, particularly early in the game. Fortunately, you can use your Ultrahand ability to attach a flamethrower to some nearby machinery. Then you can direct it toward the Moblin to take out the enemy on your behalf.

Once you make your way safely to the tower, you’ll meet with Sawson. He has bad news: a flying monster stole the tower’s terminal. To activate the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, you must get the terminal back from the flying enemy.

Unfortunately, the flying monster sticks to high elevation. If you aim at it from the ground, there’s a good chance your shot will miss. The solution is to fuse an Arrow with a Keese Eyeball. This fusion imbues the next arrow you fire with homing capabilities. It pursues its target even if your shot misses by a wide margin.

As a side note, I find that I run out of arrows frequently. That’s true even though I pick up any spares I find and don’t miss a lot of shots. Luckily, arrows are readily available to purchase from a merchant in Lookout Landing. You can buy a bundle of five arrows for 20 rupees. The Keese Eyeball is a rarer find. If your supply is short, look for Keese enemies in a local cave. They often drop eyes or wings when defeated.

Once you defeat the monster that stole the terminal, its treasure drops into the tall grass. The terminal blends almost perfectly, making it difficult to spot. Activate your Ultrahand ability, which highlights nearby objects it can move. This calls attention to the terminal. Grab it and carry it back to Sawson. He will affix it permanently to the tower and now you can proceed.
