Where to find Ancient Arowana in Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a massive game, basically becoming double the size of its predecessor, it’s a sight to behold. Due to the sheer size and denseness of the open-world in Tears of the Kingdom, it can be a slight pain to find the items you’re looking for, and you’re probably going to be looking for specific items often. If you want to upgrade armor, or even complete some side quests, you’re going to need certain items that you can only find in certain locations in the game-world. One of these items is the Ancient Arowana, which is needed to access the Zora armor. Here’s our guide on where to find Ancient Arowana in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to find the Ancient Arowana in Tears of the Kingdom

Finding Ancient Arowana in Tears of the Kingdom is actually incredibly easy. These fish can spawn in Sky Islands, or even on the surface. The first location to mention is one in the Great Sky Island, where you begin the game. You can find a hefty amount of Ancient Arowana by a waterfall, near the lake you need to cross to access a shrine in the first section of the game. Refer to the map below to find the precise location.

You can find Ancient Arowana in multiple ponds across the entire sky, I have found them in many different ponds especially across the Great Sky Island, for example, here’s another location you can find them at in the map below. You can get to this island by diving from the Nachoyah Shrine. I have also found them at different locations throughout the sky, so your best bet is to get searching in the sky.

If you’re only after a small amount of Ancient Arowana, you can find one or two just outside Zora’s Domain in Mipha’s Court. You can get here by climbing the stairs you can find leading up the mountain near the Ihen-a Shrine at the top of the mountain where Zora’s Domain is. Refer to the map below for reference of the mountain itself.
