How to solve In-isa Shrine puzzle in Tears of the Kingdom

Shrine number two.

The second shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is called In-isa and it’s where you learn Fuse. Fuse is a new ability that allows you to combine items in the world with your weapons. If you are looking for help solving the In-isa Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ve come to the right place.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to complete the In-isa Shrine

The first puzzle you come across in the Tears of the Kingdom In-isa Shrine requires you to use Fuse on a weapon and a boulder. I recommend using the Rusty Claymore that is provided at the entrance of the shrine.

With your new goofy-looking Rusty Claymore with a boulder on top, you can break the wall with the cracks in it. Keep in mind that blunt weapons — ones that are Fused with rocks and boulders — can break walls and rocks with cracks in them. This will come in handy for the rest of the game. It’ll help you find hidden areas and mine for rare rocks.

After breaking the wall with your Fused weapon, continue forward and to the right. Here, you’ll see a bunch of Fire Fruit. Collect them and pull out your bow by holding down ZR. With your bow out, press up on the d-pad and you can Fuse any item with your bow.

In this particular puzzle, you need to Fuse a Fire Fruit with your bow and arrow. When you are ready to shoot, look up the wall and shoot the dry leaves on the wall. This will ignite the leaves and the wood the chest is sitting on. After a while, the chest will fall. Loot the chest to get the key for the next area.

After the sword and bow Fuse puzzles, you now need to defeat an enemy. You can do this in any way you’d like, but I recommend using a Fire Fruit Fused shot and a spear Fused with thorns.

First, use a Fire Fruit Fused shot with the dry leaves on the ground. If the enemy is in the middle, which is where it stayed when I faced it, the fire will take three-fourths of the enemy’s health away.

You can easily Fuse more items with your bow and arrow and finish the enemy that way, but just to mix things up, you can grab the spear on the left wall and Fuse it with the thorns. This makes for a very effective and safe weapon to use as you’ll keep your enemies at range and hit them for a lot of damage.

After defeating the enemy, continue forward and finish the In-isa Shrine. This shrine wasn’t as difficult as the Ukouh Shrine, but it does introduce a fun new mechanic.
