Genshin Impact: Albedo best team comps guide

Creating life.

Genshin Impact‘s Geo element is one that’s somewhat neglected, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t strong characters who wield the Geo element. Albedo is the Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team for the Knights of Favonius. He is able to employ his alchemy skills in battle by creating structures that can periodically deal damage to enemies within their area of effect. Albedo is a synthetic human created by another alchemist, often leading to doubts over his identity. Albedo is an all-around strong character, but he truly excels in certain teams. Here’s our guide on Albedo’s best team comps in Genshin Impact.

Albedo is a 5-star Geo Sword character and can be summoned on the Limited Event Wish banner when he is a featured character. When he’s not a featured character on a special banner, you cannot summon Albedo. As a 5-star character, Albedo periodically receives re-runs, so keep an eye out for when Albedo will be featured next if you want to add him to your team. To best take advantage of Albedo’s strengths and kit in Genshin Impact, consider these team comps.

Albedo is a 5-star Geo sub-DPS unit. His kit mostly revolves around his Elemental Skill, where he places a flower-shaped Geo structure on the field. The initial placement of the flower will deal some heavy damage. Additionally, it creates a large area of effect. When enemies are hit inside this area of effect every two seconds or so, it will pulse and deal Geo damage. His playstyle revolves around placing his flower and then swapping off to a different character. Here are the best team comps for Albedo in Genshin Impact:

  • Albedo / Arataki Itto / Zhongli / Gorou: Nowadays, Albedo is best utilized in a mono-Geo team. Zhongli is your defensive unit, and the strength of his shield mitigates the need for a healer. Gorou provides DEF buffs, which increase the damage for both Albedo and Arataki Itto. Arataki Itto is the main DPS in this team, whom Albedo supports with his flower.
  • Xiao / Zhongli / Albedo / flex support: Albedo’s other best team is to be paired with Zhongli to support a selfish DPS. Selfish DPS characters like Xiao or Wanderer do not rely on Elemental Reactions for their damage. Therefore, Albedo can be flexed in as the Geo element generally does not have any useful Elemental Reactions that contribute to team damage. In a Xiao team, you can pick Bennett or Faruzan for extra damage, or another Anemo support unit like Sucrose for energy generation.
  • Hu Tao / Zhongli / Albedo / Xingqiu or Yelan: This is formerly one of Hu Tao’s best teams. Zhongli’s shield helps Hu Tao survive as her Elemental Skill drains her HP. Albedo procs the Geo Resonance for equipping two Geo units and provides additional off-field damage.
