Redfall Red Door

How to solve Whispering Woods door puzzle in Redfall

What's behind the door?

Redfall’s world has a bunch of little puzzles layered throughout. Whether that’s the tripwires that you can pass through by either destroying them or using a certain hero’s special ability, simply stealthing your way through the game world, or even just something as simple as planning out how to take out a group of enemies. One of Redfall’s more traditional puzzles however is during the mission that takes you to the second open world of the game, Burial Point, where you have to go through the right doors to get to the end of an area. This part can be a little annoying, so here’s our guide on how to solve Whispering Woods door puzzle in Redfall.

Redfall: Whispering Woods door puzzle solution

The Whispering Woods puzzle can be a little confusing to start, so let’s break it down. Once you enter this area, you’re going to be presented with three doors to go through. You can trial and error this if you want, but from personal experience, the doors are randomly selected upon entering the area. I died in the final area, and the outcome of the first door puzzle changed, but the second one stayed the same, so we’re not sure on how this works 100%, but luckily there is a trick to get the right door every single time you try it.

This trick is the color that the Whispering Woods door emits. When you open the doors, before you enter them you can see a colored glow emitting from the door. The two colors the doors emit are red and blue. If you see a blue glow, do not enter that door. But if you see a red glow, you know that’s the right door to go in. You can use this trick for the first two areas, which is very handy.

The rest of the woods

The third door you need to access in the Whispering Woods requires finding a key. You can get this key above the door under the guard of a special vampire. You can actually just run up and grab the key, then run back down and open the door, if you’re not in the mood for combat.

After you’ve either defeated the special vampire and its subordinates and gone through the door, or just skipped the combat entirely and opened the door, you’ll be at the end of the Whispering Woods door puzzles. After entering one final door that has no strings attached, you’ll be at Burial Point.
