Warframe has gone from strength to strength over the years, creating a unique sci-fi world and releasing tons of free content. With The Duviri Paradox, Digital Extremes has introduced space horses (Kaithes) to the game, and many are trying the game for the first time. Should you choose Excalibur, Mag, or Volt in Warframe’s Duviri Paradox? There’s no wrong answer, but if you’re a newcomer, let us point you in the right direction.
Should you choose Excalibur, Mag, or Volt in Warframe’s Duviri Paradox?
Each starter Warframe has its perks, but nothing beats Excalibur. Whether you’re a returning player or a newcomer, Excalibur has a superb well-rounded kit and an answer for every situation in the game. What makes him so good? Let me show you what Excalibur brings to the table.
Slash Dash
Slash Dash is a great offensive repositioning tool that can also be used defensively. Excalibur dashes straight forwards, striking foes with his Exalted Blade. The damage is decent, and the move serves as a gap closer. You won’t be slaying too many powerful enemies with Slash Dash, but you can cleave through trash mobs with no problem.
Radial Blind
Radial Blind is arguably the most useful part of Excalibur’s kit, giving this offensive Warframe some much-needed crowd control. As you may have guessed, Radial Blind blinds your foes, temporarily immobilizing them. This ability pairs nicely with your Finisher and can make Excalibur almost unkillable.

Radial Javelin
While not quite as helpful as Radial Blind, Radial Javelin is a stylish attack that can impale enemies to walls. This attack serves as a decent panic button as it hits opponents all around you. Unfortunately, larger enemies are usually resistant to the impaling effect. Radial Javelin is excellent in the base game as there are many claustrophobic environments, but as Duviri’s Paradox is more open, it’s not as valuable.
You’ll get more mileage out of Radial Blind, but it’s not a bad attack by any means.
Exalted Blade
While Exalted Blade is active, Excalibur wields a blade of pure light and effortlessly cuts his foes into ribbons. If you’ve played Overwatch, think Genji’s Ultimate, but cooler.
While using Exalted Blade, Excalibur deals ridiculous damage up close and can fling projectiles at any enemies wise enough to stay away. When you have a few mods, this ability is so good you can craft your entire build around it!
Exalted Blade is an energy-hungry ability, but if you truly want to live that Space Ninja fantasy, there’s nothing better.
What if I picked Volt or Mag?
Every Warframe can work wonders in the right hands, so ultimately, it doesn’t matter if you choose Excalibur, Mag, or Volt in Warframe’s Duviri Paradox.
Both Mag and Volt are fantastic in Warframe’s Duviri Paradox. Thanks to his Speed ability, Volt is incredibly mobile and can cast a powerful Electric Shield. The shield protects you and increases the damage of any projectile you fire through it.
If you like Mages and Spellcasters, you can’t go wrong with Mag. Abilities like Crush and Magnetize manipulate foes from afar, and Polarize is great against Shields. Sure, you can use a gun like everyone else, but where’s the fun in that?
I recommend Excalibur for his intuitive kit, but Volt and Mag can stroll through Duviri Paradox once you’re used to their unique abilities.
Can I get the other Warframes later?
The best thing about this game is every Warframe can be earned for free. My best advice for newcomers is to save that Platinum in your account for more Slots. Slots let you keep more Warframes and pick the perfect killing machine for any situation.
