Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: how to switch between one-sided and two-sided lightsaber

Become creative in how you fight.

One of the fan-favorite mechanics in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the combat. It’s not easy and would require timing to get the perfect parry. This trend continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, only this time combat is richer. Cal Kestis has grown, and this growth can be seen in combat. He can now dual-wield, or use a lone saber. However, having different lightsabers, you’ll unlock different stances akin to Ghost of Tsushima. These stances can help you switch between the lightsaber modes, like dual or one lightsaber. This guide will teach you how to switch between a one-sided and two-sided lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Early in the game, you’ll be able to earn 3 stances which include single, double-bladed, and dual wielding. As you get through the story, you can unlock two additional ones: cross-guard, and lightsaber with blaster. Switching between stances can be done somewhat on the fly.

First, you need to equip them by going into the Meditation menu or a workbench. You’ll also get useful information like how strong the stance is, so make sure you understand that part. You can only equip two at one time but can change the stances whenever you like, provided you have them unlocked.

To physically switch between the stances mentioned, make sure you have the single and doubled-bladed stances equipped. From there, just hit left and right on the D-Pad to back and forth between the stances.

Combat enhanced

Each stance has its own skill tree, which can access at the many Meditation points. So as you progress through the story, you could experiment with combinations. The stances can make the combat hard to easy, so it’s probably a good idea to learn what each stance has. Pairing this mechanic with the party mode lightsaber color can make things interesting.
