The much-anticipated sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will finally make its way to stores three days from now. Those who enjoyed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order undoubtedly look forward to experiencing the continuation of Cal Kestis’s story for themselves. Having said that, if you want to go in without any spoilers, you may have to take a hiatus from social media until after you finish the story. Just recently, a leaker apparently got a hold of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and posted spoilers for the whole Internet to see. We won’t link to any of these spoilers, so just be wary of where you browse online.
After finishing the game, the leaker, who goes by the name @KebbyPlays, first revealed their findings on Twitter. These findings included screenshots, story details, and the game’s length, among other bits of information. Soon afterward, this leaked information made its way to websites like ResetEra and Reddit.
Have the creators responded to this?
The official @EAStarWars Twitter account addressed the leaks yesterday afternoon, reminding users to “please be mindful of others and avoid posting or sharing spoilers.” Pete Stewart, a senior writer at developer Respawn Entertainment, also took to Twitter to dissuade people from spreading the leaks. He noted that the developers “worked very hard” on crafting an experience that has the capability to surprise and delight players as they play. Additionally, he reminded his followers that seeing spoilers ahead of time will upset not just people looking forward to the game, but also the developers themselves.
At the very least, if you care about going into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fresh, you won’t have to stay away from social media to avoid spoilers for long. Of course, this assumes that you will buy the game on release day. Those opting to play the game at a later date may have to avoid social media for at least a little while longer.
