Step 1: Unlock Maruto Cuts

The characters in Tides of the Foscari are largely unlocked in sequence: you can’t unlock Maruto before unlocking Eleanor, and in turn you can’t unlock Keitha before unlocking Maruto. Before you continue with this guide, make sure you’ve got Maruto Cuts unlocked. If you haven’t yet, check out our guide for details on how to do so, and check out our guide to unlocking Eleanor if you don’t have her yet either.

Step 2: Evolve the Eskizzibur weapon

Once you’ve unlocked Maruto, simply jump into a run with him to proceed. To unlock Keitha, you’ll need to evolve Maruto’s starting weapon, the Eskizzibur, into its upgraded Legionnaire form. Thankfully this is fairly easy to do: you simply need to level the Eskizzibur itself up to the maximum level of eight, then grab the Armor accessory and level that up to the maximum level of five. Once both these conditions are fulfilled, you’ll have a chance to evolve the Eskizzibur into the Legionnaire whenever you open a chest. Once that’s done, you’ll have a synergistic setup that will stand you in good stead for the rest of the run, and you’ll unlock Keitha for purchase as soon as the run ends, whether in victory or defeat.

Step 3: Purchase Keitha and enjoy!

And that’s that! Head to the character select screen after your Maruto run, and you’ll find Keitha Muort available for purchase. She’s a tricky character to play at first, with the Flash Arrow not being a great weapon for dealing with early crowds, and her Luck-scaling ability not really coming into play until later on, but persevere and her free Academy Badge item will make her one of the best characters for a projectile-based build in the game. Now that you know how to unlock Keitha in Vampire Survivors: Tides of the Foscari DLC, your heroic trio is complete, and you can descend into the depths of Abyss Foscari for the final showdown.
