Genshin Impact: Iniquitous Baptist world boss guide

The Iniquitous Baptist is a new world boss in Genshin Impact that hits you with a triple dosage of different elements. This boss has the unique ability to strike and protect itself with different elements. You’ll need to bring a diverse team to best handle this boss and claim your rewards. This farmable boss drops some important materials necessary to ascend certain characters, such as the upcoming Baizhu. Where to find the Iniquitous Baptist world boss

To locate this boss, you’ll need to wander into the newly expanded Sumeru desert added in Version 3.6. Find the following teleport waypoint:

After teleporting here, head immediately right and jump off the cliff. You should come across a cave entrance with some green bulbs strewn throughout. Head inside and follow the path until you see a large battlefield with some elemental wisps floating around.

Genshin Impact: How to beat the Iniquitous Baptist world boss

This boss spawns elemental totems that you’ll need to defeat before you can deal substantial damage to the boss. You can tell which elements the totems will be by checking the elemental wisps that are floating around before starting the fight. In the above photo, you can see that the whisps are light blue, dark blue, and purple, which corresponds to Cryo, Hydro, and Electro. The boss will take highly reduced damage before this state.

If you do not defeat the elemental totems in time, they will explode and deal devastating damage. The boss will then gain three separate elemental shields during the course of the fight. You must deplete these elemental shields, giving you a brief period where you can deal damage before it spawns a new shield. Remove all three shields for an even longer paralysis and window to deal damage.

If you defeat the elemental totems in time, the boss will become stunned, allowing you to deal good damage in the brief window. After this, the boss will still spawn the three elemental shields it gets if you failed to destroy the totems. The shields go down fairly quickly, but some elements are still more effective than others. Take note of which shields the boss will spawn and bring at least one character that can counter each element.
