There are many beasts to find and catch across the Highlands in Hogwarts Legacy, but there are certain ones you can actually use outside of the Vivarium. Most beasts you capture will likely be taken care of in your Room of Requirement for materials like feathers or horns. Others can actually be used to traverse the open world, such as the Graphorn. But where can you come by this creature? Here is how you can catch and tame the Graphorn beast in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to get the Graphorn mount
This beast is the last mountable creature you’ll be able to unlock, apart from the Hippogriff and Thestral. You’ll only be able to obtain this ridable Graphorn and others from a den after reaching the 38th main quest, ‘San Bakar’s Trial.’ To complete this Keeper’s trial, you must go to the location of the quest to find the Lord of the Shore. This is the home of a giant Graphorn that you’ll be able to tame and ride around the open world.
Taming this beast is different than simply casting Levioso and using your Nab-Sack. Once you arrive at the quest area, you’ll be thrown into a fight against this beast to conquer the Graphorn enough to tame it. It has a hefty health bar, but once it’s emptied, the game gives you two options. You can either Kneel, or you can Attack. Kneeling will show it respect, and prove you’re not a threat to it. Attacking will force it to obey you. Both options let you use the Graphorn.
Where to catch other Graphorn beasts
You’ll only gain access to the Graphorn den after you’ve completed that trial. The den in question is at the very bottom of the open world, at the southeastern shore of Clagmar Coast. Similar to your mountable Graphorn, if you want to catch one in this den, you must fight it.
Only one will spawn at a time, and once subdued, use your Nab-Sack to catch it. The Graphorn, once fed and brushed in the Vivarium, will drop you a Graphorn Horn. To catch and tame the Graphorn beast in Hogwarts Legacy may be hard work, but it’s worth it in the end.
