Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Dlc The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero officially announced

Get ready to catch 230 more Pokémon.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet got their upcoming DLC announced earlier today. The news was revealed during a Pokémon Presents livestream that gave us a look at other upcoming releases, like Pokémon Sleep. But the big announcement at the end of the show focused on Scarlet and Violet‘s new content. The expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have been dubbed The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, which together form a larger story called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

The Teal Mask is the first part of the expansion and is set to release in fall 2023. This will then be followed up with The Indigo Disk in winter 2023. For now, there aren’t exact dates for these expansions. But we should hopefully hear more about them in a little while. Each expansion looks to be adding quite a bit to Scarlet and Violet‘s already large amount of content.

Breaking down Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s new DLC

Both expansions will have the player travel to new areas with new Pokémon to find. The Teal Mask takes players to an area called Kitakami. This is a brand new area for Pokémon, so it’ll be cool to see what it has in store. The Teal Mask features new Pokémon like Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. This first expansion will also feature a new masked legendary called Ogerpon.

As for The Indigo Disk, players will be enrolled in Blueberry Academy as an exchange student. The legendary Pokémon featured here is Terapagos, which looks to be an aquatic creature of some kind. Its crystalline back also features various elemental logos referring to the many types of Pokémon. These DLCs will also bring some classic Pokémon from other regions like Ninetales, Metagross, and more. In total, there will be 230 more Pokémon added to Scarlet and Violet through its DLC.

Those who decide to pre-order the DLC will get a few goodies to use in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. These include a Hisuian Zoroark and some new outfits to update the style of your trainer. Starting today, Scarlet and Violet will each have a unique Raid Battle, too. The Walking Wake Raid Battle can be found in Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves is featured in Violet.
