The Sole Solution is, arguably, the most powerful weapon available in Vampire Survivors. It’s a devastating cosmic cyclone that can obliterate any enemy in your path, while also providing some handy protection at the same time. It’s the evolved form of the Victory Sword, another solid late-game weapon that can become truly powerful when properly leveled up. Here’s how to unlock the Victory Sword and Sole Solution in Vampire Survivors.
While both of these weapons have power in common, they also both have complex unlock requirements, making them tricky for players to gain advantage.
How to unlock the Victory Sword and Sole Solution in Vampire Survivors
Unlock Victory Sword in Vampire Survivors
We’ll tackle the Victory Sword first; unlocking it is a requirement for unlocking the Sole Solution, it makes sense to discuss them in sequential order. The Victory Sword is the starting weapon of Queen Sigma, a character you’ll likely unlock towards the end of your time with Vampire Survivors given her unlock requirement of completely filling out the game’s Collection. This involves unlocking every base weapon, passive item, relic, and Arcana card.
In order to unlock the Victory Sword for general use, you’ll need to kill 100,000 enemies with Queen Sigma in a single run. Thankfully, she’s one of the game’s most powerful characters. Her stats scale up as the run progresses and she gains access to more Arcana cards than other characters, meaning that this isn’t a difficult task to complete on the right map. Simply jump into any stage from Dairy Plant upwards, be sure to grab Curse-boosting items like Skull O’Maniac, Gold Ring, and Metaglio Right to boost the number of enemies that spawn, and survive until the end. You should easily surpass 100,000 kills.
Once unlocked, you’ll be able to use the Victory Sword in any run with any character. It’s not a particularly powerful weapon at first, but it can be leveled up to 12 rather than the usual eight, giving it a higher ceiling than most weapons. In addition, it deals retaliatory damage to enemies when you’re hit, which can be handy for specific builds using the Armor and Night Sword.
Unlock Torrona’s Box
Once you’ve got the Victory Sword unlocked, the next thing you’ll need is Torrona’s Box. This is a passive item that can be unlocked by having six different evolved weapons at once during a run, something you’ll likely achieve around the mid-game mark. The box provides boosts to your Might, Projectile Speed, Duration, and Area stats as you level it up to level eight, then provides a 100% boost to your Curse rating when it reaches level nine. This makes it powerful but risky, if you can’t handle the tougher enemies that Curse brings, but you can always banish the Box at level eight to avoid leveling it up all the way.
Unlock Sole Solution in Vampire Survivors
With both of these pieces assembled, you’re ready to unlock the Sole Solution. It works similarly to a standard weapon evolution, with the caveat that both elements, the Victory Sword and Torrona’s Box, need to be leveled up to their maximums in order to receive it. This means that you will need to take on the Box’s 100% Curse boost if you want this powerful weapon.
Once this is done, you’ll have a chance of receiving the Sole Solution whenever you open a chest. It’s unique among weapon evolutions in that it doesn’t replace the Victory Sword, meaning you’ll get to use both. It also doesn’t take up a passive item slot, so it’s free as far as inventory space goes, letting you squeeze in more weapons for your build.
The way the Sole Solution attacks is unique as well. Every 30 seconds or so, you’ll be surrounded by a swirling space vortex, and the rest of the screen will fade to black. During this time, enemies around you will take continuous damage, while you yourself will be immune from harm. Each attack lasts for around 10 seconds, during which time you can’t pick up Experience Gems, but any that you would’ve picked up are automatically given to you at the end of the attack. In addition, the weapon’s damage scales up based on the number of enemies you’ve killed, making it absolutely devastating in a drawn-out run.
Now that you know how to unlock the Victory Sword and Sole Solution in Vampire Survivors, your runs should be all the easier, and the more exciting.
