The Petroglyph team have decided to shut down the Kickstarter campaign for their WWII tactical strategy title which was announced back on 5 March.
After a very slow start and feedback from potential backers, Petroglyph soon realised that they would not reach their goal of $700,000. Speaking to IncGamers in an interview, which we have just posted, they commented:
“We’ve learned that Victory is definitely not the type of game that the Kickstarter community craves. We’ve received a ton of feedback, and it’s been very helpful and appreciated. A better Kickstarter project for us would be to make a much more traditional RTS game that appeals to the nostalgia of classic RTS gaming experiences from the 1990?s”
That doesn’t mean it’s the end of the line for Victory, it’s likely the game will see the light of day if a publisher steps up to take it on. You can read the full interview here.
