Forza Horizon 5: How to get a Hard Charger skill

A simple two-step process.

In Forza Horizon 5, you can accrue and spend skill points on various perks for your preferred vehicles. Performing individual actions, or skills, will earn you a small number of skill points, but if you want bigger bonuses you can chain different actions together within a limited window. Many of these chains count as their own skills within the game, with one of them coming in the form of the Hard Charger skill. Despite what the name may imply, performing the Hard Charger skill in Forza Horizon 5 should not prove too difficult, as it only requires a handful of steps. This guide will go through these steps so you can get the Hard Charger skill in Forza Horizon 5 in no time.

The first step in the chain requires performing the Burnout skill, which you can easily accomplish from a standstill. To initiate a Burnout, you first need to hold the accelerate and brake buttons at the same time. After you do this for around two to three seconds, you simply let go of the brake while keeping the accelerate button held down. If done correctly, a Burnout notification will show up on the screen.

The next big step

Upon starting the Burnout, you will have to obtain a Speed skill by reaching 200 mph. As long as you pick a car with a high top speed, you will likely hit 200 mph within the window required for the game to count both the Burnout and Speed skills as a chain. To have an easier time acquiring the Speed skill, you can head to a straightaway on the map that contains little to no traffic.

Once you chain the Burnout and Speed skills, you will immediately earn the Hard Charger skill, which will net you a total of 1,000 skill points on its own. So if Forza Horizon 5 gives you a challenge that requires the Hard Charger skill, you will know what to do.
