Marvel’s Midnight Suns all Tarot Card locations guide
To find all the Tarot Cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you’ll need to acquire the four Words of Power. Some of these items can be picked up from the get-go. However, the rest are in areas that can only be accessed once you have the required spells. Some sections will also need to be revisited, as they tend to have obstacles early on.
In any case, here’s a map of the Tarot Card locations in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Yes, the numbering can be a bit odd at first, but you’ll soon realize how the exploration arc in the Abbey Grounds works.
I. Abbey Grounds Initial Area
These Tarot Cards can be obtained early in the game. There are no special requirements to explore this part of the Abbey.
1 and 2 – Star and Moon
Both of these are inside the Forge in the northern portion of the Abbey. They’re on Doctor Strange’s and Iron Man’s workbenches.
3. Strength
This is in the chapel, the southernmost room in the Abbey.
4. Temperance
Take the eastern exit of the Abbey and check the clearing just before you reach Agatha Harkness’ statue.
5. Sun
Follow the dirt path as it takes you north of the Blood Gate. You’ll spot this next to the pond.
II. Word of Power: Open
These Tarot Cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns are in areas that can only be accessed once you have the Open power. It dispels illusory rock formations and doors so you can pass through.
6. High Priestess
Walk further past the Standing Stones puzzle and check the tombstone.
7 to 10. Justice, Wheel of Fortune, Death, and Hermit
All of these are in the Agatha’s Altar section of the map. The location is part of a puzzle where you need to collect the four Elemental Rods.
- Justice – Behind the altar’s wall.
- Wheel of Fortune – To the west of that on a raised ledge.
- Death – In the southern portion overlooking the sea.
- Hermit – Use Open to dispel the wall illusion, then head down the slope. You’ll see this next to the altar with the Air Rod.
III. Word of Power: Reveal
These Tarot Cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns can be yours once you have the Reveal power. It allows you to fully construct bridges and show objects that are otherwise invisible.
11. The Hanged Man
At the southwestern tip of Agatha’s Altar, you’ll spot a single rock formation. Use Reveal to build a bridge that lets you cross the chasm.
12. The Hierophant
This is part of the Hiram Shaw Church puzzle. Check the destroyed wheelbarrow close to the rune cave.
13. The Empress
Go west and cross the illusory bridge. Soon, you’ll come across the Salem Graveyard where the Hanging Tree is located. The Empress Card is behind one of the gravestones.
14. The Emperor
From there, keep going north until you see a fork in the road. To your right near a statue, you’ll find this item.
15. The Word
This is on a desk just outside Agatha’s Cottage.
IV. Word of Power: Purify
The Purify spell lets you remove large corrupted vines that are blocking the road. This will let you reach the northwest sections of the map (i.e., the Garden of Envy and Lilith’s Garden). You’ll find a couple of Tarot Cards in these places.
16. The Lovers
Use the Garden of Envy fast travel point. You’ll immediately see a wall that you can use the Open power on.
17. The Chariot
Just north of Lilith’s Garden is a broken bridge. Use Reveal on it so you can cross. The card is in front of a Blood Gate.
V. Word of Power: Break
Once you’ve cleared the encounter in the aforementioned Blood Gate, you can place the last Moon Seal on the altar. This nets you the Break power, which demolishes rocks and other obstacles. The remaining areas of the Abbey Grounds can now be explored. As such, you’ll be able to gather the last Tarot Cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
18. The Magician
This is close to the path that takes you from the Abbey to Dreamer’s Descent. Break the wall here to see the card.
19. The Tower
Use the Dreamer’s Descent fast travel point and head a bit to the southeast. You’ll notice a landslide here. Use your power to clear the way.
20. The Fool
From Dreamer’s Descent, make your way north. You should see a cracked wall that can be obliterated. This small nook is called Gideon’s Cross, and you can pick up one of the collectibles here.
21 and 22 – Judgment and The Devil
Make use of the Shop fast travel point this time and head north. Destroy the wall here to reveal an area called the Misty Moors. Both cards can be found off to the side of the dirt path.
