Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was unveiled back in May, but we haven’t heard much about it since then. That’s reportedly set to change, though. According to new details via Jeff Grubb, it looks like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could start its marketing in December. This could take the form of a more solid release date or a gameplay reveal, but for now, it’s anyone’s guess.
The latest Star Wars title is set to launch sometime in March 2023, and Grubb states that the game is “still on track for that March release date.” But considering that the game is just five months away from launch, it’s strange we haven’t seen more of it. However, the short gap between the marketing and the game’s release date was apparently the plan from the get-go, according to Grubb. Come December, we’ll hopefully see plenty more of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s marketing begins soon
Respawn Entertainment’s previous Star Wars title was a neat surprise. The Titanfall and Apex Legends developer didn’t have much of a reputation for the action-adventure genre, but with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the developer made a good start. With that said, there’s plenty of work to be done to make the sequel a more satisfying experience. The explorative elements of the first game were fun but lacked the rewards to make the gameplay satisfying. Additionally, problems with glitches and a lack of unique ideas made it fall apart in some areas. The foundation is there for Jedi: Survivor to improve upon.
December is also an interesting window for the marketing of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to begin. The big event that month is The Game Awards 2022, which is famous for its world premiere reveals. It seems likely that we’ll hear word of the game then. Of course, EA could also be planning its own event for the game independent of The Game Awards. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but December’s not too far away.
