A new free game has arrived on the Epic Games Store. Along with Evoland Legendary Edition, Epic Games users can claim Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for free this week. Outside of this time-limited sale, it usually retails for $19.99 USD. Fallout 3 and Evoland will remain free until October 27 at 11:00 AM ET.
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition comes bundled with a variety of additional content. This includes all five of its add-on packs: Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. With these add-ons, you’ll have access to more levels, quests, equipment, and stories to play through.
Although Fallout 3 is a critically acclaimed game, that doesn’t mean everyone has had the chance to play Bethesda’s open world RPG. If you didn’t play it when it came out, now is a great opportunity to experience one of the best-reviewed RPGs. Fallout 3 currently sits at a sensational 91 on Metacritic, plus it has ‘Very Positive’ recent reviews on Steam.
Much like the other versions of Fallout 3, the Epic Games release will support modding. The vanilla game is already great, but mods can take your experience to the next level. From quality-of-life improvements like Better High Detail Map to complete gameplay overhauls such as Wanderers Edition, Fallout 3 has a stacked modding scene. Even if you want a mostly vanilla experience, it’s still worth at least installing the unofficial patch as it fixes a wide range of bugs and exploits.
Saturnalia is next
Once the deal on Fallout 3 ends, another free game will come to replaceit. Following Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition is Saturnalia, a survival horror game developed by Santa Ragione. It features mysterious labyrinth roads that change every time you wipe. It’s inspired by the folklore of Sardinia, a region of Italy best known for its unique traditions and culture.
