Announced at the end of May, Funcom’s Conan MMO is now free for everyone.
It was no huge surprise when Funcom announced that Age of Conan was going to take the free to play route, the game has been around for quite some time, and with development ramping up o their next MMO The Secret World, it’s better to keep player in the game world and at the same time entice some new blood.
Fans can still purchase a premium membership to access the extra content and a new web site has been launched today which explains the differences between the free to play version and the premium. There are quite a few restrictions on the free to play version but if you like the game you’ll upgrade anyway.
