It’s that time when Sony blesses PC players with another PlayStation exclusive. The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection is due next month, but that’s not the only PlayStation exclusive PC players have to look forward to. Potentially joining Uncharted is Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which looks to be getting a PC port.
A listing for Sackboy: A Big Adventure has been spotted by SteamDB under the name ‘Steel PC.’ This mysterious entry was first posted over 11 months ago, but fans could only speculate as to what it was. However, we now have even more proof that it’s Sackboy: A Big Adventure thanks to the client icon that was added earlier today.
Rumors of a Sackboy: A Big Adventure PC port have been stirring for some time. A throwaway Reddit account created a post leaking a PC version of A Big Adventure. It claimed that the port would come after the Uncharted Collection and would include raytracing, ambient occlusion, and support supersampling technology.
As for the game itself, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a fun, well-received platformer. The PlayStation 5 version scored 79% on Metacritic, and the PlayStation 4 version sits at 83%. The Little Big Planet spin-off builds on what the previous entries established while introducing 3D platforming to spice things up.
What other PlayStation games do we need?
With Uncharted and The Last of Us confirmed and now Sackboy: A Big Adventure potentially getting a PC port, we’re not missing that many PlayStation exclusives. The biggest omissions are Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
As of writing, there is no confirmation that any of those games are coming to PC. However, Sony has been increasingly open to porting its exclusives to PC in recent years. There’s even a PlayStation games for PC, page on the official PlayStation website. Plus we already got God of War, and if God of War is possible, then just about anything is.
