Fortnite v21.50 introduces Shadow of Phantasm Week and vaults Impostors mode

A new week in Fortnite.

Throughout Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, regular updates have shaken up the loot pool, deployed various crossovers, and welcomed Lazy Lagoon back to the island. Today’s update v21.50 brings even more content to enjoy. Shadow of Phantasm Week has kicked off in Fortnite. Here is everything you need to know.

This week, you’ll see that some familiar weapons have made their return in chests, supply drops, and as ground loot. Moreover, there are some new limited-time quests for you to take on.

Embrace Shadow of Phantasm Week

The Suppressed Assault Rifle, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Shield Bubble, and Shadow Bomb have been taken out of the vault for Shadow of Phantasm Week. If you need a reminder, throwing a shield bubble will deploy a protective dome. Nothing can be shot through it, apart from the deadly Kamehameha Mythic weapon. Also, the Shadow Bomb will temporarily turn you into an invisible dark cloud and grant you some extra mobility. Shadow of Phantasm Week also brings with it a set of challenges related to these items that you can complete to rack up some extra XP.

This Fortnite update places the Impostors mode into the vault. You will no longer be able to play the Among Us inspired mode in favor of Epic Games focusing on working on other projects. At the time of writing, it is unknown if and when this mode could return.

Last but not least, a couple of notable bug fixes have been made. A problem which prevented health and shield bars from showing their actual value after taking damage has been fixed. In addition, an issue that caused the Kamehameha to refill to three charges when dropped by a dead opponent has been patched.

Fortnite’s Shadow of Phantasm Week is now live, and it ends on September 7.
