Path of Exile – Templar Video & Beta Date

Grinding Gear Games have released a video to unveil the Templar Class and details of the upcoming beta test.
The video shows off his skills such Spark which unleashes lighting bolts that rebound off obstacles, Sweep which allows him to sweep around knocking his enemies back with is mace or staff and Sheild Charge which as the name suggests is a smashy smashy skill

“In battle, the Templar can play as a traditional melee character or a hybrid battlemage, able to endure substantial damage while slaying monsters with spells” says Chris Wilson, Grinding Gear Games’ co-founder. “By dealing some of his damage with strong melee weapons and the rest with a barrage of spells, he offers many new combat options over the traditional warrior or spellcaster classes.”

Path of Exile is currently in Alpha testing but a closed beta for a select few will commence in August.  The game will be demonstrated at Pax Prime at the end of August where they will also be giving out copies of the beta.
