Bioshock: The Collection first made its way to our shores in 2016. The games themselves are much older than that at this point, though. Bioshock was first released in 2007, its sequel in 2010, and the final in the trilogy released in 2013. However, these games are still very much worth playing through in 2022.  Plus, BioShock: The Collection on the Epic Games Store comes with all of  the DLC for each of the titles.

Three games for the price of none

BioShock Remastered is the first of the three titles included in this collection. It sports higher resolution textures than the original version, along with 4K resolution support. There’s also a director’s commentary featuring Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson that’s well worth seeing if you’re a fan of the series. Then we have BioShock 2 Remastered, which is often considered to be the weakest entry into the series. But it’s still absolutely worth playing and gets updated textures, models, and 4K support.

BioShock Infinite is the biggest game in the collection. Along with the main campaign, you’ll also have all the DLC, including Clash in the Clouds and Burial at Sea Episodes 1 and 2. This game departs from the undersea location of Rapture in favor of Columbia, a city in the sky. As a result, it introduces plenty of its own unique gameplay mechanics.

If you want a deal on a trio of classic games for free, you can’t go wrong with BioShock: The Collection on the Epic Games Store. And with rumors of another entry in the franchise in development, you may want to revisit these titles in preparation. You should also keep an eye out for the BioShock movie that’s currently in production at Netflix.
