Believe it or not, but we are three days and some change away from at last playing Elden Ring. The highly anticipated game by FromSoftware has ruled the headlines for months now, and this week is when you will finally have the game in your hands. Unless you already have it and are spoiling things, that is. On that note, this is something that’s happened. Elden Ring PC release times are live, but FromSoftware is warning folks that spoilers have been making the rounds.
With games as ambiguous as FromSoftware releases, Elden Ring spoilers may not be too worrisome. For the most part, it’s believed that most of the game’s lore will be hidden away, much like that in Dark Souls and Bloodborne. However, no one wants to see any of those boss battles. You know those fights are the among the top reasons these games are so enjoyable. So, if you don’t have the game already, please avoid sharing any spoilers for Elden Ring — story or otherwise. For the rest of us, it might be high time for a social media break.
“With the release of Elden Ring promptly approaching, please be mindful of spoilers for those who wish to experience the Lands Between for the first time with unclouded eyes,” reads the message left by the Elden Ring Twitter account. “Thank you for your kind cooperation.”
If you want your first playthrough to be completely spoiler-free, you may also want to avoid the new trailer. FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco released an overview trailer showing off the game. I’ll link it up, and let you make the choice.
Pre-load details and release schedule
But what are the PC release times for Elden Ring? Glad you asked. The game goes live as early as February 24 at 6 PM ET. Those in the UK will be able to start playing on February 24 at 11 PM GMT. Out in Japan, you’re looking at February 25 at 8 AM JST. Everyone can pre-load the game 48 hours before release, according to Bandai Namco. That’ll be tomorrow, if you’re rusty on your math.
