Call of Duty Vanguard Captain America

Call of Duty: Vanguard might see Captain America and Indiana Jones join the fight

Both do love punching Nazis.

In recent memory, you could be forgiven for mixing up Call of Duty with something like Dead by Daylight, or even Mortal Kombat 11. That’s because the first person shooter juggernaut has been seeing a lot of guest characters lately. Now, the latest datamines and leaks seem to indicate that Captain America and Indiana Jones might be coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard. Of course, like with all unconfirmed rumors and leaks, take everything here with a grain (or two) of salt.

Dataminers have found Call of Duty: Vanguard’s files reference both Captain America and Indiana Jones. Both characters make perfect sense to be included since Vanguard‘s story takes place during World War II. On top of this, Warzone is set to merge with Vanguard next month, meaning you could play as both characters in Warzone as well.

Guest characters are something associated more with fighting games, but they have fit surprisingly well within Call of Duty. Call of Duty Warzone‘s Verdansk ’84 map recently added both John McClane and John Rambo from the Die Hard and Rambo franchises, respectively, earlier this year. This summer, Judge Dredd was also brought into Warzone for the game’s summer event. Then, the annual Halloween event added Ghostface from Scream and other horror characters.

It doesn’t appear Vanguard is done with the crossover shenanigans quite yet either. Dataminers have also found hints that an Attack on Titan crossover is in the works. The iconic swords used by the series’ Survey Corps were also found in the game’s files. Granted, that crossover is a bit more… let’s say outlandish than something like Rambo. But, the fact that these crossovers keep happening must mean they are working. In the past these movie tie-in bundles have cost 2,400 CoD points, which comes to about $20 real life dollarydoos. If these leaks are true, I expect this amount to stay the same.
